3 Amazing DIY Facial Cleansers for Dry Skin

Facial cleansers are useful for removing dirt, make-up and oil as well as helping shed dead skin cells from our pores.  As if the high price is not enough, most of the cleansers available in the market contain chemicals and ingredients which may prove harsh on your face after a prolong use. They strip your skin of natural oils and your skin feels dry and parched. Homemade cleanser could be a great way to cleanse and pamper your skin. Dry skin is a common problem. While most people want to reduce the moisture on their faces, other lack are in need of it. With a handful of natural ingredients, you can get your face sorted out.

Honey & Lemon

A mixture of honey and  lemon together are a natural moisturizer and antiseptic, a perfect soothing and cleaning combination. The citric acid from the lemon kills acne-causing bacteria, and the enzymes in the citrus help clear away dead skin.  Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants, which are shown to prevent acne and slow down your skin’s aging process. Honey is also great if you’re looking for a complexion boost!

DIY:  Combine 2 teaspoons honey and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Warm it between your fingers, then smooth a thin layer onto your face and neck. Leave the mixture on until it’s dry, then rinse with warm water.

Yogurt

Yogurt is a perfect natural face cleanser, rich in protein and lactic acid. Those compounds work together to help detoxify skin: Applying lactic acid regularly encourages your skin to get rid of the dead cells through exfoliation, and protein helps tighten pores, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and hydrate.

DIY: Gently massage a thin layer of plain yogurt into your clean face using your fingertips; this action will help loosen any dirt or any makeup residuals. Leave yogurt on for a couple of minutes, then wash off with warm water and a towel. Do not scrub the face as you do this.

Olive oil and glycerine:

Glycerine and olive oil together would help balance your PH level and bring relieve on to dry skin.

DIY: Mix half cup olive oil with two tablespoons of glycerine and two tablespoons of purified water. Blend well and massage your face with this homemade cleanser for a minute and rinse. You can store the unused cleanser in a pump dispenser bottle and use it each time you wash your face.
