The simple things we ignore

The simple things we ignore

Life is quite simple and only the simple understand. Happiness, joy and peace are the most essential elements in life yet we consciously and unconsciously strive for the complex things that make life seem really difficult. Interestingly the simple things cost us almost nothing but rather add value to our lives.

We have deleted simple words and phrases like  “Good morning”; “Good night”;  “Thank you” ; “ I love you”;  “I’m proud of you” ; “You look good”;  “You are beautiful” ; “You are handsome”; “well done”; “let me help you”; “ I need help with”. etc

Some people can go for a day without using any of these words. The truth is life is so simple and what you sow is what you reap. Appreciating and complementing others builds and motivates the giver as much as it does the receiver.

This is because every true complement comes from a cheerful heart and goes with a smile. Smiles set the mood for the moment and reflect in the day. It makes the giver feel confident.

Failure to appreciate and complement others results in low self esteem and moody days. This is because life is all about give and take.

  1. Thank you for your post. I love compliments and I am constantly complimenting my children and always have since they were born. I give compliments to strangers when the need arises. I believe in giving compliments when they are due. Some people are not used to receiving them but you know it makes them feel good and happy. I feel it and I say it. Plus, it feels awesome to give compliments and make someone else happy. There is nothing better than making someone else feel good about themselves and make them happy. Thank you for your blog. I love it. I gave you my email. I can’t wait to receive your Shine magazine. Thank you.
